1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
~ John 3:1-21
The truth about Salvation, eternal life or eternal damnation, is that it solely depends on whether Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, or if He isn't. If you have not turned to Jesus Christ, making Him Lord and Savior over your life before you die, then you will suffer eternal torment. This is the truth that most people don't want to hear. But I'm telling you because I care about you, and I don't want anyone to end up in Hell, though countless people are already there, without hope.
People tend to get caught up in theories and what-ifs; not wanting an absolute GOD, an absolute TRUTH. To the secular world, fantasy and post-modernism is more entertaining. Even the mention that there is only one way to Heaven is considered atrocious and horrific to most people. The popular theory is that all roads eventually land us in the same place, and that the path one chooses to take in life only changes how we live but doesn't effect our eternity. They want to believe that there is no Hell, and if there is, it's either not that bad of a place OR only a select few, such as Adolf Hitler, end up there.
You MUST repent and turn to Jesus Christ, the Holy Son of GOD, and make Him your Savior. There is no other way.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ~ Matthew 7:20-22
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
~ Matthew 7:13-14
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
~ Matthew 7:21-23
Every good and wonderful thing comes from God. To be a child of God, by repenting and turning to Jesus and then maintaining a lifestyle of true Christianity, you have access to everything that's awesome. Divine healing, authority over sickness and disease, the ability to cast evil spirits out of people and places, the ability to raise the dead, and access to real peace. All of these things are from God, and the Holy Spirit that dwells within every true Believer of God's Word, and who live according to the instructions in His Word. Joy, wisdom, and true spiritual cleansing can only come from God, and the only way to have a genuine relationship with God is through the Holy Son, Jesus Christ.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
~ Romans 10:6-15
If you are not a born-again Christian, please make the decision now (before it's too late) to repent and ask Jesus Christ to become your Lord and Savior, and to receive eternal life when you eventually cross over. Humble yourself and pray to our Creator, the one true God, and ask for forgiveness for sins you've committed. Make the decision to study the Holy Bible, and find out what God says and how He's instructed us to live. Be willing to give up ungodly things, habits that are in opposition to God. If you tell lies, repent, and stop. If you are committing sexual acts (watching porn or having sexual relations outside of marriage, etc.) you need to repent, ask God to forgive you and HE WILL. Even if you live a relatively clean life, you must set your heart and mind on things of God. Hey, it's not as difficult as it might seem. One thing that really helps is to have a good support group of fellow Christians. You might need to walk away from certain friends who would oppose your new life, your walk with God and make new friendships with brothers and sisters in Christ.
Please join our family, the family of God - Creator of the Universe! - and become a brother or sister in Christ. It's not worth living a life apart from God only to end up in Hell someday. I offer you my personal hand of friendship, as well. If you would like to talk to me personally, my e-mail address is rebeccalynnsturgill@gmail.com or you can contact me via social media platforms, too. I'm here to help in any way I can. ❤
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
~ Matthew 11:28-30
